Aïssaoua Festival — Modes and Rhythms of the World
The imperial city of Meknès hosts the Aïssaoua Festival « Modes and Rhythms of the World », under the theme « Sufism and the Unity of the Kingdom ». It brings together more than 55 Aïssaoua brotherhoods and a thousand masters (moqaddems), alongside Arab pop and world music artists (Wael Jassar on 24 July, Asma Lamnawar for the closing). Ancestral samâa and dhikr rituals are complemented by the second edition of the Meknès International Forum on Sufism. Under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
